About Us - Our People

Erica Sosna, Life Project Founder, Inspirational Educator and Consultant

Hello! I am Erica. I'm a careers coach and an international educational consultant. I founded The Life Project CIC in 2006 because I believe that everyone deserves an inspiring and relevant education in how to live their best lives.

I am passionate about 'what works' in educating people for an empowered life. The programmes I have designed and we at TLP deliver enable educators to inspire and motivate their students in creative and soulful ways, social entrepreneurs to get started and socially minded organisations and individuals to make a real, lasting, positive impact.

I get really excited when I uncover a Life Project skill. This means one that is universally applicable and simple to learn. A skill that enables you to be more successful in achieving your aims, whether these are to alleviate poverty, launch a great new eco-product or run an art school. Life Project skills are a must for every sector, so they improve employability too.

My credentials, I am  a Governor of the BACA Academy in Brighton, an accredited PRINCE 2 Project Manager, have a Diploma in Life Coaching, a biographical storyteller and a creative maverick! I love experiencing and learning from others, books and high quality personal development, including The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers, Insight Seminars and much much more!

I graduated in 2000 with an MA in Social History from the University of Edinburgh.

My ability to work with and engage large audiences extends to my "secret career" as a performance poet and comedy songwriter. I am currently in the process of setting up an all female, mixed race hip-hop crew. My book "The Creative Classroom" will be published in 2011.

Drop me a line at erica@thelifeproject.co.uk , inspire me with your tale and let me know how I can help you.

Although I am not a practitioner, life studies have been an important focus, taking me through many experiences and adventures around the world. Having failed exams at school (due to being uninspired) I made my own entertainment though a personal study of human behavior via my peers.

In the 'real world' I ended up taking a tourism management qualification (because I wanted to travel). As soon as I could I went off traveling! The course also gave me a good foundation in management. Developing my skills to advise and support new business'/individuals during my professional career.

I am a creative creature and choose to work in like-minded environments alongside inspirational people. Jobs on the way have included; running a hostel in Ecuador, sculpting for an architect in L.A, organising professional artists, working in a Barbie factory, running a music school and working as a photographer for the Environment Division at the City of Edinburgh Council.

For fun I love to take photos and do offer my creative services if you need some shots. I also have great passion for dancing, music, sustainable living, colours, clothes, oh and really good parties!
